City of Mankato is seeking an individual to perform police officer duties in assigned areas of the Police Division and to do related work as assigned. Qualifications: Associate Degree in Police Science/Law Enforcement; and licensed by the MN P.O.S.T. Board, be eligible to be licensed, or successfully complete P.O.S.T license exam by 10/01/08. (Preferred: bachelor's degree; and 3 years experience working as a full-time police officer for a department with a minimum of 5 full-time officers in a community of at least 4,000 in population).
